Membership

Twin Lakes Women's Golf Association (TLWGA) was first organized in 1983 with 32 members. Currently, the TLWGA has a membership of over 100 members, with a maximum of 120 members.

For membership registration, existing league members are normally given priority to join the league first before opening membership to any waiting list or to the public (the “1st round”).  To be invited to re-join the league in the “1st round”, existing members must participate in at least 25% of the weekly competitions.  For any existing member that does not play in at least 25% of the rounds, they may be invited to re-join the league in a 2nd round.

Effective May 2, 2024, the TLWGA Board voted that all new players entering the league must have an active handicap. If an experienced player does not have a current handicap and wants to join the league, we must vet that person. Ideally, they have a sponsor (friend who invited them to join) and at a minimum, they need to play two rounds as a guest with the league BEFORE being invited to apply for membership. They should demonstrate familiarity with the game and be able to keep pace with their group.  If there is a waiting list to join the league, priority will be given to those with an established handicap.
