TV Cabling Options
Your estimate will indicate whether cabling is included or not.
Common options include:
No cabling included
TV mounting only. Visible cables, existing connections, or future cabling are handled separately.
Concealed cabling
If selected, a power extension cord along with HDMI and/or Ethernet cables can be concealed using a white surface-mounted cable raceway.
This option may also be used when in-wall cabling is not possible, not suitable for the wall type, too costly, or would require excessive wall intrusion.
In-Wall Power Relocation
Power or extension cords cannot be run inside the wall. A code-compliant in-wall power relocation kit may be required.
When comparing estimates, ensure non-compliant methods (such as running standard extension cords inside walls) are not being used. These can pose fire risks and may impact home insurance, particularly in attached dwellings like condos and townhomes.
Installation depends on wall type, stud layout, fireplace location, connected devices, and available access.
We recommend (or can supply) CL2-rated in-wall cables. Please request this option during scheduling, as it may affect cost and installation timing.
