Here are some important updates from ACBL Unit 158 (Tulsa region).

Annual membership meeting – Aug. 24

You are invited to the Unit 158 annual membership meeting, dinner & bridge game on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at the Route 66 Bridge Club, 6205 E. 61st Street, Tulsa.


The cost is $10.00 per person, and reservations are required.  Please reserve your spot by paying Phyllis Webb, Kurt Schultz, Dave Murdock, or Henry Robin by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22. 

 

Unit 158 President Henry Robin will preside at this annual general meeting of the Unit membership. Unit 158 Treasurer Greg Burton will give a financial report. Henry Robin will provide an update on Unit activities and  answer any questions from the membership before announcing the slate of nominees for the Unit 158 Board of Directors, and taking additional nominations from the floor.

 

The Board election will involve only Tulsa and Broken Arrow nominees and voters, as Bartlesville and Muskogee players have their own board member.  Voting will take place at club games from Aug. 28 to Sep. 10, and is open to all ACBL members, as well as non-members who make the request before or at this membership meeting

 

Unit 158 is the American Contract Bridge League’s designation for eastern Oklahoma, including the bridge clubs in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bartlesville, and Muskogee.  The Unit 158 website is: https://sites.google.com/site/tulsabridge/

 

Unit 158 Directory Update
Your Unit board is in the process of updating the player directory. Please complete an information slip at any club game this week.  If you will not be able to visit your club this week, please reply to this email with your name, mailing address, phone number and type (mobile/home/business), email address, and ACBL #.  If you prefer not to be listed in the new directory, just reply to this email with that request and your name.

 

NLM Tournament in Tulsa, Sep. 7-9, 2023

Non-Life Master players with less than 750 Masterpoints can earn Silver at the Sectional Tournament at Route 66 Bridge Club Thursday through Saturday, Sep. 7-9.  Voting for the Unit 158 Board members will be available at this event.  For more information on the tournament, see https://tournaments.acbl.org/schedule.php?sanction=2309345
