Association for Women in Mathematics Student Chapter
About Us
Our Mission and History
The purpose of the Association for Women in Mathematics is to encourage women and girls to study and to have active careers in the mathematical sciences, and to promote equal opportunity and the equal treatment of women and girls in the mathematical sciences.
Our student chapter was established in Spring 2014, with the aim to fulfill this purpose.
What we do
The primary focus for Tufts AWM is math outreach to local high schools and the community. We also host panels seated by female mathematicians in various careers, as well as small informal lunches.
For announcements and to find out about our upcoming events, see the AWM calendar on the combined grad student calendar. You can also subscribe to our mailing list. If you are not an affiliate of Tufts and would like to subscribe, please contact one of the officers.
