Assessment in New Zealand Primary Schools

In 2013 Tara and Jo had a 10 week study leave awarded from TeachNZ in order to investigate whether the New Zealand Primary School Assessment system was Eurocentric and what the impact of that was on our learners. They travelled the length of New Zealand meeting with teachers and talking about their assessment practices. They also travelled to the UK and presented at a Thinking Digital Conference in Newcastle (where they got to meet their hero Sugata Mitra).
