Scouting BSA
... is a program that focuses on outdoor adventure and fun
to teach camping and outdoor skills, self-reliance and leadership.
Scouting also teaches citizenship, service, and conservation.
Growth in these areas is recognized by earning ranks, merit badges, and special awards. Scouts are guided by the Scout Oath and Law and the Outdoor Code.
The three points of the Scout Oath are duty to God and country, duty to others, and duty to self.
Troop 613
Aims to be boy-led, have an active outdoor program, and follow BSA standards for safety and youth protection.
Chartered for almost 50 years in the Goldenrod area.
Has an affiliated girl troop (4613).
