2013 Mt. Dickerman Hike

Post date: Oct 3, 2013 2:20:14 PM

Saturday's hike is to Mt. Dickerman. It is on the mountain loop highway 27 miles past Granite Falls. If you've ever been to Big 4 Ice caves, it is just past that.

Take the time to look up Mt. Dickerman. It is a fairly long and strenuous hike, 4.2 miles and 3800 foot elevation gain. This might be pretty strenuous for some scouts but most should be able to do it. If an easier hike is warranted by some scouts, there are plenty of beautiful hikes in the area and we may be able to split the group if there are enough adults.

Decent hiking boots are recommended. Also, bring your own water as often water is not available on the trail, however I will bring the water filter just in case. Also bring a lunch and snack.

We will be leaving the church around 7:30, and I think we should be back around 3 or 4.

This is one of the premier hikes in the NOrthwest, so try and make it if you can!
