RULES FOR USING BOWLING GREEN DURING PANDEMIC – APRIL 2021

1. BOOKING A TIME SLOT TO PLAY – Members will need to look on the Club website to find what 1hour time slots are available. They will then contact the Club Secretary to book a slot; he will then update the website. The groundsman will use the same process to book slots for cutting the green and any other maintenance that is required on the green. A Club Schedule of attendance (names, dates and times of access) will be kept by the Secretary to enable track and trace records should this be required.

2. MEMBERS ALLOWED TO PLAY – Only Club members will be allowed to play and up to 4 jacks and 6 players will be allowed on the green at any time. All players should practice social distancing at all times.

NO SPECTATORS ARE ALLOWED AT THIS STAGE

3. SANITIZATION– Players should sanitize their hands a) as soon as they arrive, b) prior to bowling c) on completion of bowling. Players should also try to refrain from touching solid surfaces e.g. seating, railings etc. even though the chance of contamination is minimal.

4. EQUIPMENT – Games may be played using 1 mat and 1 jack. CLUB JACK MUST NOT BE USED .All equipment should be sterilized before and after use.

5. END OF SESSION – Once players have completed their session they should again sanitize hands and depart as soon as they safely can to enable others to access the green

6. OPENING OF BUILDINGS –The disabled toilet may be used, Only 1 member at a time will be allowed in the clubhouse for access to toilet key and for purpose of purchasing books, dvd’s, cd’s etc.

THE KITCHEN FACILITIES ARE NOT TO BE USED,

Hands should be sanitized prior to entry and again on leaving the toilets and clubhouse. Players should bring their own refreshments. All other outbuildings will be closed and members should not attempt to enter them. Signage will be placed in clear view stating this at the entrance to each building.

7. GROUNDSMAN – All the above also apply to the groundsman where appropriate, except that he will be allowed to access the Clubhouse & Mower shed.

8. MONITORING – It will be the responsibility of all Club members to monitor adherence to the above.

The Committee reserve the right to stop anyone using the green if they fail to comply with the above guidelines

9. INSURANCE - Player’s accident insurance and public liability insurance has been taken out as normal

10. GENERAL – Members will be informed of the above arrangements via email, details will also be put on the Club website and a sign will be placed at the green.

11. CAR PARKING – Please leave adequate space between cars to allow social distancing

Willenhall Trinity Bowls Club is situated in Charles Street Willenhall and Crown Green Bowls has been played on the site since the 1920’s when it was part of the Russell Street Playing Fields. The present membership is around 70 with ages ranging from 27 to 103

Over recent years the Club has undergone a transformation, a new kitchen & disabled toilet have been installed within the clubhouse together with a separate men's urinal . A new hardcore car park and planting of two sides of the green with shrubs and plants has also been carried out. A new covered area in front of the clubhouse has built by members and improvements made to the stand at the side of the green. Last year new railings were installed in front of the clubhouse and a new covered enclosure provided for visitors

We have now installed CCTV to improve the security of the premises

We have a working party each Thursday morning between 9 and 12. We also have hundreds of books. cd's, dvd's, and jigsaws for sale at very reasonable prices so why not come along and have a look around and meet some of the members.

The Club has the following teams

Monday - Heath Town League (2 Teams) - 7pm - All ages

Tuesday - Walsall Veterans League (3 Teams)- 1-00pm - Over 50's

Wednesday - Wolverhampton Senior Citizens League (3 Teams) - 12pm & 2pm - Over 60's

Thursday - Cannock League - 6-30pm

Bilston Lv League - 7pm All ages

Friday - Heath Town Over 50's League (3 Teams) - 12pm & 2pm - Over 50's

Saturday - Wolverhampton Works League - 2.30 pm - All ages

We also have Senior Citizen & Club singles & doubles competitions during the year

We are always on the lookout for new members, young or old, novices or experienced. Even if you have never bowled before you can always contact us to have a roll up to see if it appeals to you.

Each year we hold a number of Social and Fundraising events i.e.: Choral Concert - Quiz - Sporting Evening - Family Fun Day - Barn Dance - Beetle Drive - Bonfire & BBQ
