14th Annual Duke PTCT Charity SCRABBLE® Tournament
January 6-7, 2024
All proceeds from this 16-game, 2 day SCRABBLE® tourney will go to support families in the Pediatric Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (PTCT) Program at the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center. Last year's event raised over $8,300 for this worthy cause!!

Division winners will receive donated prizes from local merchants in lieu of cash awards.
Prizes may include: Basketballs signed by ACC Players and Coaches, Trophies, a custom-made deluxe Scrabble Board, SamTiles, ProTiles, gift certificates from restaurants and shops and MANY more!!

Players will be placed in skill divisions based on their rated tournament records. Players may request to "play up" if within 100 points of ratings cutoff. Director retains the right to move entrants to maintain balanced divisions. Each division will play 8 rounds using Swiss Pairings, plus 1 final King-of-the Hill round.
We will be using the NWL20 Lexicon for the main division, and the CSW21 Lexicon for the Collins division.
-5 point challenge rule is in effect for CSW.
