Objectives
Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it. - Buddha
Over the next few months, I will be substitute teaching and working at Pier 1, while also going on trips to visit friends at Campbell over Spring Break and having plenty of adventures here at home.
At the end of April, I will be backpacking with my mom and then attending a 10-day meditation retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I will also be starting a 7-week studio showing of my photography at a local coffee shop in Downtown Hickory. Then in May I will be visiting my friends and professors during spring graduation and maybe even take a trip to Florida.
Then on May 31st, I will be leaving to serve for two years in Mongolia as a Peace Corps Volunteer helping to provide health care assistance, education, and community development, deepen international understanding of the American people, and deepen my personal understanding of the world’s people.
My continuing objective remains helping others through service. This includes loving my family and friends, caring for my neighbors in all of the world and treating others how I would like to be treated. In that way I hope to always be advancing humanity to the best of my ability.
