Welcome to my Math 9 page.
I will periodically post links for related web activities here that will supplement the concepts being studied in class. For additional links to learn or practice a topic, see the links below.
Practice with Algebra Tiles
On-line Quizzes, by topic
Nelson, a textbook publisher has a website with a short quiz for each section in the textbook MathFocus 9. We used to use this textbook, before the latest curriculum change. Some of the topics listed we will not be studying but the others are a good match.
Course Review Material
Click HERE for REVIEW worksheets on most of the topics studied in Math 9. Solutions are also posted. These are from the University of Waterloo's 'Wired Math' site.
Most of the questions on the 'Wired Math' sheets are excellent review for Math 9, and some of the later questions can be quite challenging, including occasional questions that are extensions of grade 9 that are taught in grade 10. The Grade 9 page of the 'Wired Math' site also provides games for practicing skills.

CEMC Learning Support
The University of Waterloo's CEMC (Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing) website has video tutorials and review content to help with learning most of the concepts taught in high school mathematics courses, and first year university calculus. Below is a table of the topics we are studying this year, and links to video lessons that can be used to learn or review the concepts. After each lesson is a set of Check Your Understanding questions that you can answer. When you enter the answer, it will tell you if you got it right, and show you a proper solution for the problem. These are followed by a set of practice Exercises that come with full Solutions; these questions range from simple and direct use of the concepts, to challenging applications of the theory.
