Practice with Algebra Tiles

Introduction to polynomials http://ca.ixl.com/math/grade-9/model-polynomials-with-algebra-tiles This site is great for an introduction to how algebra tiles can be used to model algebraic expressions. It shows you pictures of tiles and you enter what the expression is.
Modeling procedures with algebra tiles http://illuminations.nctm.org/Activity.aspx?id=3482 This site has 4 tabs for SOLVING, SUBSTITUTING, EXPANDING and FACTORING. There are instructions. Choose the appropriate tab for the activity you want to do, probably expanding or factoring.

Remedial Support

IXL, Examples and on-line Quizzes http://ca.ixl.com/math/grade-10 This link will take you to a page with a list of topics. Some of the topics are from Pre-Calc 11 so don't be surprised if you don't recognize everything.
Remedial Support: Video Lessons available at CEMC, University of WaterlooBelow is a list of topics covered in Math 10FPC, and a link to a video, sequence of videos, or a text-based lesson on the topic. Each lesson includes "Check Your Understanding" questions that you can try, answer, and submit to see if you got it right. Wrong answers are greeted with a complete solution to the problem, and then you can request a new question. This is a great tool for practicing those critical skills that we are developing in this course.
