Board Members
The TJYCA Board is the governing bodies of TJ Youth Cheer. All positions are nominated and serve two terms, and re-elected for each consecutive term thereafter. Members of the Board are parents of active youth cheerleaders in the organization. Positions for vacant positions are posted each year, in which you must apply and have all valid PA clearances. Board members meet once a month starting in January and end in December. They are all volunteer positions. The time and dedication to making this organization great, and continue expanding knowledge of cheer fundamentals throughout the community is our biggest goal. We are in all-inclusive organization, that takes pride in our cheerleaders supporting our TJ Youth Football teams!
President: Marissa Williams
Marissa has been a part of the organization since 2019, when her daughter Sophia started first grade. Marissa took over as Head Coach of the 1st-2nd grade team in 2019 and has continued to coach the same group of girls since then. Marissa started her secretary position of the Board in 2019, and took over as President in 2020. and has continued to lead the organization to overflowing numbers. Marissa was a TJ Cheerleader from 5th-12th grade and has a long history in competitve cheer.
Vice President: Erin Sweeney
Erin has been a part of the organization since 2019, when her daughter Addi started first grade. Erin became an Assistant coach of the 1st-2nd grade team in 2019 and has continued to coach the same group of girls since then. Erin started her Vice President position of the Board in 2020. Erin has been a huge help to Marissa over the last two years, and her dedication to her cheerleaders is unmatched! Erin has experience in cheer, cheering for Baldwin HS.
Secretary: Nikki Losteter
Nikki has been a part of the organization since her daughter Gwen was in kindergarten. Nikki has been a part of the TJYCA Board as Treasurer for the last 4 years. Nikki has now taken on the position of Secretary for Gwen's last season of TJ Cheer. Nikki's dedication to the TJYCA has huge an integral role in monitoring our finances, ensuring refunds, payment of items, etc! Nikki has been a great asset to the team, and this is her final year in the organization! Nikki also has grown up in TJ and was a TJ cheerleader!
Treasurer 1: Amy Reed Cork
This is the first season Amy has participated in being a board member, but has been within the organization for the last 5 years with her daughter Mackenzie & Morgan. Amy has a phenomenal background in finance, and we look forward to all the wonderful things she can contribute too this season! Amy will work hand-in-hand with our other Treasurer John!
Treasurer 2: John Kaufman
This is John's first season with the TJYCA Board! John has been a huge asset to the team his daughter Peyton is on. John is also the first dad we ever had on our Board, which is incredible! John's background in finance and helping Veterans at the VFW will contribute to aiding TJYCA succeed financially moving forward. John will work hand-in-hand with Amy moving forward.
Uniform Chair: De Blackmore
De entered the TJYCA in 2019 when her daughter Madison joined. In 2019, De became an assistant coach, and has continued to coach through Madison's years of cheer. De was brought into the Board in 2020 and took over as our Uniform Chair. De's continued dedication to making sure uniforms are as cost-efficient as possible, and bringing new ideas to the table!
Uniform Chair: Jess McMurray
Jess has been a part of the TJYCA since 2019 when her daughter Mileena joined. Also in 2019, Jess became an assistant coach and has continued to coach! Jess took over as Uniform Chair in 2020, and has continued to be a huge asset on the Board with her continued ideas, organizational skills, and the chaos that uniforms can bring to the table!
Banquet Chair: Kristyn Schottenheimer
Kristyn has been a part of the TYJCA for over 10 years when her older children cheered. In 2018 her daughter Kayden began cheering. In 2019, Kristyn was an assistant coach, and has taken over as Head Coach for the older grades following her daughter Kayden. This will be Kristyn's last season in the organization. The last two years of banquets have been awesome because of Kristyn and Katy's dedication!
Banquet Chair: Katy DelGreco
Katy has been a part of the TJYCA organization since 2018 when her daughter Caylee joined. Since 2019, Katy has been an assistant coach following her daughter Caylee throughout her time with TJ Cheer. Katy's unwaivering dedication to her squad is amazing. This will be Katy's last year as a Board member. The last two years, the awesome banquets are thanks to her and Kristyn!
Banquet Chair: LeAnn Ruffing
Leann has been a part of the TJYCA when her daughter Anna joined in 2018. Leann has been a helpful parent on the sidelines from bathroom to snack mom. In 2022, Leann was an assistant coach for our 1st grade team. Leann joined the Board officially in 2022 as our technology and banquet programmer. For 2023 she is now a part of our Banquet chair members!
Banquet Chair: Kayla Andrews
Kayla has been in this organization since 2020 when her daughter Emery joined the TJYCA. In 2021, Kayla took over as Head Coach for the 1st-2nd grade team, and was Head Coach of 3rd grade in 2022. Kayla's knowledge of dance and cheer has helped paved the way for our younger squads. Kayla became a part of the Board as a fundraising chair in 2020 and helped out cheerleaders ensure at most a 50% refund on all fundraising to help pay for the cost of uniforms! For 2023 Kayla is now a Banquet chair member.
Fundraising Chair: Misty Hawk
Misty joins the TJYCA Board for 2023 as one of our Fundraising chairs! Misty has worked tirelessly through the WJHSD PTA for fundraising and has made great strides in the community. Her daughter Sadie has been with the organization over the last three years! Misty will work with Abby and Denise this season!
Fundraising Chair: Denise
Huenefeld-Rothaar
For 2023, Denise has joined the TJYCA Board as fundraising chair! Denise has worked as a part of the fundraising teams for the PTA here within the WJHSD over the last few years! Her daughter Avery has been with the organization over the last 2 years! Denise will work with Misty and Abby to make this season's fundraisers the best they can be!
Fundraising Chair: Abby Conley
Abby has joined the TJYCA Board officially for 2023. Last season, Abby coached our 1st grade squad and had incredible rave reviews from her parents throughout the season! Nora and Grace, her daughter's have been a part of this organization for the last few years! Abby's organizational skills and drive to make TJYCA affordable to all parents makes her a key asset. Abby will work with both Misty and Denise this season!
Technology/Community Day: Kara Heffran
We welcomed Kara to our TJYCA Board for 2023 this season! Kara has experience as a board member of the McClellan PTA. She's worked diligently to expand fundraising and using fundraisers that provide a larger profit. Kara has also created some of the elementary yearbooks which will contribute greatly to our end of season Yearbook the cheerleaders receive at our Banquet! Kara will also assist other Board members throughout the season!
