Old Fashioned Meatloaf

1lb. ground beef
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 slices white bread
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
1 t. salt
1 t. freshly ground black pepper
2 T. worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. catsup

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Soak 2 slices white bread in 1/2 c. milk. Place ground beef, chopped onion, egg, salt, pepper, worcestershire and 1/4 c. catsup. Add the two slices of bread and mix all ingredients by hand until egg and bread are incorporated. Do not over mix. Spray a baking dish or loaf pan with non stick baking spray and place meatloaf mixture into prepared dish. Bake for 1 hour. Remove meatloaf from baking dish and discard the grease.  Place the meatloaf on a serving platter.
Warm glaze may be poured over the top of the thoroughly cooked meatloaf or served on the side.

1 c. catsup
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 t. nutmeg
1/2 t. ground mustard

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat until heated completely through.
