We are very excited to present this terrific opportunity for a series of writing workshops in Sointula with our January artist in residence Keagan Hawthorne! The workshops will take place over 3 Monday evening sessions in January, and the cost for all three sessions is only $17. We would also like to host a public presentation on the last Monday of the month if participants are interested (more info on that will follow.)

Workshop dates/times:
Monday January 9th, 16th, and 23rd, from 7 - 9pm
Public presentation: Monday January 30th, 7-8pm (details to follow)

Please register soon by emailing, or by calling 250 974 4234. If possible, also please send us your email address, as Keagan will have some materials to send you before the first workshop.

Each workshop will include a discussion about some of the techniques of writing, illustrated with readings from selected texts. There will be an opportunity for some free writing, as well as a round-table where participants are invited to read their writing and receive constructive comments from others. Participants are free to work in whichever form/genre they feel most comfortable.

Keagan Hawthorne has a degree in Folklore from Memorial University and currently lives in Victoria. He has led several past writing workshops through public schools and libraries.
