Natural Dye Workshop with Hillary Webb

Please join us in our backyard for a natural dye workshop and demonstration with artist-in-residence Hillary Webb! Spend the afternoon playing with natural dyes, featuring both an indigo dye pot and a local dye pot.

$40 (includes a $15 material fee)

In the backyard at 260 2nd Street, on the corner of 2nd and 13th

Bring rubber gloves, an apron or work clothes, and 1 or 2 small personal items to dye that are clean and contain 100% natural fibres. Hillary will supply a cotton scarf for you to dye and take home!

Learn how local weeds and plants can be used to create beautiful dye colours. (So far we've seen Hillary dye with twin berries, salmon berries, bracken fern, horsetail, a mushroom, and more!)

Learn shibori-inspired resist techniques.

Take home a naturally dyed cotton scarf!
