The Remnant

Without a REMNANT ther is NO FUTURE!

Isaiah 14:30

The first born of the poor will feed and the needy will lie down in safety.

I will kill your roots with famine and it will slay your remnant.

commentary

Like Babylon but unlike Israel, Philistia would have NO FUTURE bacause it would have NO REMNANT!

Isaiah 14:22

"For I will rise up against them," says the Lord of hosts,

And cut off from Babylon the Name and the Remant,

And offspring and posterity,"

sya the Lord.

v23 "I will sweep it with the3 broom of destruction,"

says the Lord of hosts.

Isaiah 14:31

"Wail, O gate! Cry, O city!

All you of Philistia are dissolved;

For smoke will come from the north;

and no one will be alone in his appointed times."

A gate is a weak point in the city wall.

When the gate fails, the city will be taken.

The Assyrian armies coming from the north,

and no one will be alone speaks of the close ranks of

the armies as they destroy.(leaving nothing untouched)

Isaiah 14:32

What will they answer the messengers of the nation?

That the Lord has founded Zion,

And the poor of His people shall take refuge in it.

with no refuge for the Philistines after the destruction of Philistia they would come to Jerusalem to be saved (the only available place)

They would join the rest of the poor and become believers~

~God's people.

Destruction is sure for nations who have NO REMNANT of Jews and/or Christians.

They will self-destruct if they destroy THE REMNANT.

So a nation, counrty, region, state, city, family, or houshold who choose to get rid of the remnant in their midst (placed ther by God) are committing suicide.

They will self-destruct at God's judgment.

God preserves the nation, country, region, state, city,family or houshold that

keeps THE REMNANT that God has placed in their midst for the sake of

THE REMNANT!
