Services:
"The Glass Worker" - recommended by Rick McMahon. Rick says: "I had my '71 Duster windshield replaced by Steve. He's been in business for 32 years. He came to my house (mobile) with the new parts, spent three hours removing the trim, old weatherstripping and glass, preparing the body for the new one, masking off the open dash area and painting it (wow!) and installing and heavily sealing the new weatherstripping and glass. He charged me less than it would have cost me for the new glass and weatherstripping alone."
"Dell's Custom Upholstery" - recommended by Rick Kinnear. Rick says Dell's did the upholstery work on his '40 Ford's interior as well as his '56 Ford's upgrades. "Excellant work, always on time and on budget" says Rick. To further tout Dell's work, they have done work on several of high-end car builder, Hot Rod Dreamworks', cars.
"Finish Line Coatings" - Reviewed and recommended by club members attending the February 15th, 2014, shop tour of Russ Meek's unique metal coating business. High quality work by one of the area's oldest custom car service business'. They can put ceramic finish coatings on almost any metal part from exhaust, suspension and even internal engine applications.
"East Portland Auto Body" (has new owners!) Previous owners, Bill & Susan Dallas, have relocated to Mt. Angel. Look for their new shop there now.
Reviewed and recommended by Rick McMahon. Rick had his '71 Plymouth Duster's hood repainted. Shop owner, Bill Dallas, was very helpful and even though he was backed up with several cars, he agreed to work his car in because he" tries to please all customers" and considers his commitment to them most important. Although they perform work on all makes and models, Bill is very familiar with Mopars. This led to him creating his own texture-mixed flat black paint - just like the original "organisol black" from the Chrysler factory. The results were excellent and the price was very fair.
Northwest Inovations
This Clackamas company does it all when it comes to prepping and powder coating almost anything. Over 50,000 square feet of spotless processing space. Rick Kinnear had a chassis done there and was very impressed with the size, cleanliness and professionalism of the company. No need to have one place do sandblasting and another the powder coating. Pricing seemed very reasonable too.
