Welcome to The Owl's Nest*, home of an eclectic collection of games created by me, Phil Leduc. The collection includes primarily abstract games but also includes card, domino, and board games. Some of these games soar while others try hard but still need work to take flight. In any case, all these games appealed to me for one reason or another. Enough so, that I play tested them repeatedly and decided to write up the rules and create figures. In some cases, Macromedia Flash Shockwave, Zillions of Games, or Ludii game files were created for play testing or sharing.
Readers are invited to check out these games and if they like, reproduce the rules and build the games for personal use. Most of the games are easy to build from common game components. Some are simple paper and pencil games! Constructive comments about the games are encouraged.
Please note that some of the game rules may be duplicated and distributed via the web but the rules may not be altered and full credit must be given to the designer. Each game will have a copyright section indicating its rules may or may not be distributed. The reason for this is that some of the games may evolve and distributing the rules early would not be a good idea. Especially note that all other rights are reserved on all the games presented in this site. Those that wish to program or sell any of these games in any form should contact the author at philleduc.pled@gmail.com for permission or a license to do so.

* The site name, The Owl's Nest, is derived from my last name, le duc, which translates to the duke or the owl. The latter is more an expression than a direct translation but seems more appropriate for a game site.
