EXTENDED ESSAYS

Here are the current EE subject areas:

Please note a couple of significant changes to EE Subject Areas beginning this year: 

• "Peace and Conflict Studies" and "Human Rights" are no longer available subjects. 

• "Literature and Performance" and "Environment Systems/Societies" are categorized as Interdisciplinary Essays, meaning you will have to understand and discuss your topic with reference to more than one subject area. (World Studies has always been this way).

• The subject guides above are linked to a different EE website from the ones previously listed. Please visit the new EE site to make sure you have the most updated information about your subject area. In many cases, there have been no significant changes, but you are responsible for understanding the requirements.

• The new website is somewhat less user-friendly; after clicking on a link above, you will then need to look at the menu on the left side of the screen to see more information about each subject. The options are: Overview, Choice of Topic, Treatment of the Topic, and Interpreting the EE Assessment Criteria.
