2. Reno NV to Salt Lake UT (Tye, 2 year-old Borzoi therapy dog)

This PnP trip to the Salt Lake City area was particularly interesting and gratifying. The trip was coordinated by Alicia at the national group Operation Wolfhound which provides psychiatric service dogs to veterans free of charge. Our transport, Tye a 2-year Borzoi, was trained for his therapy role by Karen in Doyle, CA (northwest of Reno, NV). Karen explained that a Borzoi is well suited for PTSD patients because its eyes are set on the side of the head providing excellent peripheral vision, comforting the patient that they will be alerted to any "threats". We flew the handsome, calm and inquisitive Tye from Reno Stead (KRTS) to Tooele, Utah (KTVY) to be welcomed with much appreciation by the Marine veteran Bobby and his wife Davida.
