The Makers Choice Exterior Wax is a blend of premium quality waxes that will provide a protective coating to the exterior surface of any wood instrument. This will assist to prevent the atmospheric loss of vital moisture and oils naturally found within the wood.  It will leave a desirable natural lustre to the exterior surface of the instrument. This product is designed to be applied by hand and is very easy to use.

Application: It is recommended that the instrument be cleaned before the first application; if necessary lemon oil can be used to remove any old wax finishes.  A thin coat of the wax should be applied with a clean soft cotton cloth and allowed to dry for 10 minutes.  The instrument can then be polished with a clean soft cotton cloth and if further lustre is required can be buffed with a clean nylon stocking. Any wax buildup in combing or grooves can be removed with a tooth brush or cotton towel. A little goes a very long way.
