Loch Ness Win 2025 Inverness Province Division 1
Loch Ness Curling Club History
There was no moon on a dark night in 1966 but the sky was a pin cushion of stars. Great swathes of astral light blinked across space. Those gathered had made a fire which glowed scarlet in cobalt black darkness, showers of popping sparks jettisoning into the night air. The gathering downed their drams and decided the environs of Highland Curling Club was not providing the opportunities they required. Loch Ness Curling Club was born.
Loch Ness Curling Club participates in Inverness Province and currently has three rinks in the top division. The Club is mixed with players of varying abilities, ranging from a former Scottish Champion to the recent introduction of the odd newby.
While the Club has always aimed to be competitive on the ice, the social elements of the sport of curling have always been fundamental to the Club.
If you are interested in curling or would like any further information on the Club please do not hesitate to contact us.
Loch Ness have fully embraced the recent changes to the RCCC Rules in relation to Province Competitions which allow players from neighbouring Provinces to participate in Inverness Province.
