Volunteer

We are proud to have the support of our community through volunteers, which allows us to keep costs down.  Due to insurance regulations, you must be 18+ to volunteer.  Volunteers do laundry, clean kennels, or general office cleaning.  For liability purposes, volunteers are not able to assist in surgery or in contacting pet owners.  

We are excited to have career exploration candidates from CEC's Work-Based Learning program!  We also offer community service hours for high school clubs such as the National Honor Society, Beta Club, ROTC, or Key Club.  You must be 16 to volunteer through the school programs.

We accept some court-appointed community service from individuals 18+ years old.  We do not accept individuals with theft, domestic violence, or drug charges.  To serve court-appointed community service with our organization, you must provide your probation officer's contact information before serving with us.  Serving with us is a privilege, not a right.  We expect you to exhibit professional behavior, or you will be asked to leave and we will report your behavior to your probation officer.
