Absences

Your child attending school every week is important to them having a successful and beneficial education.

However, we do understand there will be occasions where it will not be possible for your child to attend school due an illness, family vacation, exams for their National Qualifications or any other reason.

It is in our school child-protection policy to follow up all instances of pupil non-attendance in order to accurately record the reason for absence.

Parents are expected to notify the school and the class teacher explaining the reason for their child absence.

Under the above circumstances, the class teacher is responsible to pass information over to the absent pupil regarding the teaching material, the learning intentions and homework via email or the Google classroom platform.
