Tim started dancing in 1973 and teaching in 1976. Tim has taught all phases and rhythms in round dancing. Tim is a DOD Information Technology Manager working for the Missile Defense Agency and is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel.

Tim was a member of Roundalab from 1978 to 1987 and 1998 to present. He served on the BOD from 2000 to 2006. He serves as RAL Unphased Figures Committee chairman, the phase two ROQ committee, and on the bylaws committee. Tim has taught and/or cued at every National Square Dance Convention since 1995. He has been the featured teacher at national special events in Canada, Australia, Germany, and US weekend events including state conventions in Alabama, Georgia, Minnesota, Virginia, Washington, and Hawaii. Tim has been the featured teacher at several DRDC weekends and has presented workshops/clinics at several ROUNDALAB and National Conventions. He was a clinician at RAL, NSDC, and Ohio State convention in 2009. He has choreographed numerous dances which include “Long Tall Sally” (Single Swing 3), “Viva Espana” (Paso Doble 5), “Only Time” (Mixed V +2), “Playful Rumba” (RB 5), “I Can” (Cha 3), “Chain Gang” (TS 2), “Put a Little Love in Your Heart” (TS 2), and “Face to Face “(STS 4). Tim and then dance partner Cindy, wrote “Do You Love Me” (JV 5) (2009), “Flashdance” (BO/JV 3+1) (2010), “Annie’s Song (VW 6) (2010).

Tim is a member of the International Choreographed Ballroom Dance Association where he serves on the TAC committee. He is also a member of Roundalab, the Georgia Round Dance Teachers Association, Alabama Round Dance Teachers Association, Dixie Round Dance Council (DRDC), and the Weavers.

Tim is extremely proud of his two daughters. Christina is an accomplished dancer, cuer, and choreographer in Virginia and Julie is a West Point graduate (2003) currently serving in the US Army in Afghanistan.

Tim is well known for his energetic cueing and teaching style. He always encourages everyone to “Dance with passion, be playful and smile.”
