Clinic Weekend

The GRDTA sponsored educational weekend has a long history that goes back to 1985 and has been held in various locations through the years. The amount of talent that we've had in our visiting clinicians has been wide and varied. This, now bi-annual, weekend event provides an opportunity to our local dancers to gather to dance, learn and visit with some of the best round dance leaders that our hobby has to offer.

In recent years, we have always gathered at the Haralson Memorial Civic Center in Blairsville, Georgia, and that has served us very well for a long time. However, in 2020, we tried out a new location that many of you have visited and danced at before and that was the First Baptist Church Gym, located at 200 Larkin Street, Cornelia, GA. This location offers easy access for dancers traveling up and down Highway 365/441 through northeast Georgia.

Starting in 2021, we were so happy to announce that we were able to host two dance weekends for your dancing enjoyment. Bringing back a spring weekend event that the organization used to do, the first one was scheduled for March 2021, and was a great success. The second one was, as always, scheduled for November, and was another well attended event for 2021. Going forward for as many years as we can, the GRDTA has decided to make this a regularly repeating schedule with hosting a Spring and a Fall dance weekend. We hope you will always make your plans to join us twice each year. Thank you for your support.
