Classroom Rules:

1.     Arrive ON TIME to class EVERYDAY. 

2.    Follow directions the FIRST time.

3.    Please bring the following required materials to EVERY class:

• • Notebook, pocket folder, pencil or pen and a highlighter

  • Calculator - this is necessary

  • Assignment Book

  • Completed homework and an alert mind

4.    Textbooks are to be covered with brown paper throughout the year.

5.    Respect the RIGHTS, FEELINGS and SAFETY of others.

• • Follow all laboratory safety rules.

  • Listen to adult and student speakers respectfully.

  • Use appropriate language.

  • Participate actively in activities.

  • Save food, gum and beverages for the cafeteria.  Water is permitted in class.

6.    Absences – make up work is your responsibility.  Please check the above mentioned website.

• • Please copy notes the day of your return and work on completing assignments missed. 

  • Tests due to illness are to be made up within 3 days of returning to school.

  • Absences due to sports/band/choir/drama – missed work is still due in on time.  Tests or quizzes will be taken during lunch or study hall on the assigned day unless other arrangements have been made with me.

Grading Rational:

1.     Tests –                       55%

2.    Quizzes –                   15%

3.    Written work –         15%

• • Includes lab reports, group and/or individual projects, and exercises

4.    Homework -               15%

• • Includes random homework checks

  • Late homework will not be accepted, except in the case of illness or family emergency. 

5.    Tutor Hours 

• • Monday – Thursday upon request

6.    Extra Credit

• • Not assigned on an individual basis

  • Random extra credit assignments may be to the class as a whole.
