DGC Board Meeting 5/4/23

Meeting Called to Order – 5:33

PRESENT – Bill Towne, Mike Pappa, Joe Connolly, Betsy Bryan, Barbara Muller, Larry Peterson, Brian Bello

Also PRESENT – Nick Amen. Dave Taormino was present to discuss plans for a tribute to Barbara

MINUTES – amend to show where a decision was not made 

TOURNAMENT REPORT –

Tournament Director provided report of cash in / payout for the month of April. An individual medal tourney added on 5/27 $20

HANDICAP REPORT – No report

TREASURER’S REPORT –

Provided Credit Ledger Balance Statement and 2023 DGC Expense Summary Sheet.

Currently 206 members

SECRETARY / WEBSITE –

No report

RULES / TECHNOLOGY –

Will include a new member info sheet on the website for easier access to information as well as an info sheet to give new members when joining

Discussed tying in rules with the senior golf club

Minutes are now up on the website

OLD BUSINESS –

Discussed who calls the tournament due to weather. A decision was not made

NEW BUSINESS – 

A motion was made for moving the NCGA tournaments from 2 to 1 day. Motion passed with a 6-1 vote

ACTION ITEM - Joe to meet with Jerry Hallee to discuss rules

TOURNAMENT REPORT –

 Tournament Director provided report of cash in / payout for the month of February

 Discussed having a board member in first group of day to assist tournament as needed

HANDICAP REPORT – Discussed standard deviation report

TREASURER’S REPORT –

Provided Credit Ledger Balance Statement and 2023 DGC Expense Summary Sheet. Currently 191 members

Discussed updates made to website

RULES / TECHNOLOGY –

Will include a new member info sheet on website for easier access to information as well as an info sheet to give new members when joining

Members now have access to rules on the website

Tournament rules will now pop up on calendar

Discussed putting out a monthly newsletter

OLD BUSINESS –

Action Items – Joe will work on website, Betsy will update calendar, Bill will get a whiteboard for messages to club.

Discussed putting out an email for club’s input regarding use of white tees

NEW BUSINESS – Discussed conflicts with this year’s NCGA tournament dates
