I am an Associate Professor at National Taiwan University and teach courses in the area of Chinese Linguistics. Originally trained as a theoretical phonologist, I am also interested in the underlying mechanisms of Chinese idiomatic expressions during reading comprehension.

My current research is divided into two main areas of focus. On one hand, I have been investigating the impact of native prosodic patterns on the acquisition of Mandarin tones. On the other hand, in collaboration with researchers in the field of machine learning, my research aims to build an interlanguage corpus with the ability to label the accuracy of Mandarin tones produced by L2 learners.
