I have been at Keene State College since 2009. I teach both secondary mathematics methods courses (EDUC 331 & 431), secondary mathematics student teaching (EDUC 400), as well as mathematics courses. Prior to coming to KSC, I was a classroom mathematics teacher, teaching mathematics at both a middle school (Silver Sands Middle School in Port Orange, Florida) and at a high school (Clarke Central High School in Athens, Georgia). I hold a Ph.D. in mathematics education from the University of Georgia, as well as a Masters degree in Education and a Bachelors degree in applied mathematics from Coastal Carolina University. My areas of interest include: appropriate use of technology in the mathematics classroom, mathematical knowledge for teaching, and professional development for in-service teachers.
Each year I like to present at the international conference for Texas Instruments (T -cubed). If you are interested in graphing calculator technology and have an idea for a presentation, please let me know. I would like to bring students to this conference for presentations in the future. Presenting at a conference looks very good on a new teachers resume.
