duck / dak / verb
1.to lower your head and body quickly, in order to move under something or to avoid being hit :
ex: Young children can just duck their head under the gate and avoid paying .
2.to move quickly into or behind something ,especially to avoid being seen = DIVE
ex: He ducked behind the wall .
3.to go quickly into a place for a specific purpose :
ex: Mary ducked under a shop awning to get out of the rain.
4. to avoid something such as a difficult question, isssue, or dutty :
ex: Stop trying to duck the issue-who paid you for this?
