You discover information that you are interested in learning about.
You will develop your own question about computer science, research the question, answer the question, create a product that will help teach others what you found, present this information to your class, and then reflect on the process.

We implemented this research project in a hybrid setting. Half of the students were in person and half of the students were online. We met with the students three times a week using Google Meet to bring students who were at home into the classroom.
Mondays from 12-12:30
Tuesdays from 8:05-8:50
Fridays from 12-12:30
We shared this Google Slide deck with students in Canvas and live in our out Google Meets.
We started with a brainstorming session using a list of resources to get us started. Then students used this Jamboard template to make a copy and start capturing topics they are intersted in learning more about.
We invited the school librarian to share databases that the school has access to:
PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next
Capstone Interactive eBooks
National Geographic Kids
Tween Tribune
ProQuest
Britannica School Elementary
We talked about the importance of citing sources.
