Welcome to Teach and Song – a space inspired by nature and imagination, where children can play, learn, and engage in meaningful work together.
Teach and Song is a program designed for children 3-6 years old and organized in a series of six-week sessions. Join us every Monday, 9:00 - 1:00, for a hearty snack, nature walks, and beautiful crafts inspired by Waldorf Education.
Why "Teach and Song?"
The intent of the program name was to encapsulate the key ideas behind the program. Teach embraces our commitment to facilitating exploratory, interdisciplinary, child-led learning. The program offers opportunity for children to be introduced to new ideas and skills while leaving space for developing interests and individual discovery.Song suggests the program's musical component. Integrating simple songs, instruments and rhythms into the day offers children an opportunity for expression while also building community through their shared experience. More generally, Song is meant to embody the program's creative aspect. Craft, needlework, knitting, food preparation, building, and story are regular components of every day.
