Hello, and welcome to my portfolio page.
My name is Tyler Baron and I am a PhD candidate in Simulation, Modeling, and Applied Cognitive Science (SMACS) at Arizona State University. I am currently working on my dissertation on content agnostic games and expect to graduate in May 2017.
My area of research is game based learning, and I have multiple publications in that area. I primarily work on breaking content and contextual barriers in educational games. My dissertation is on content agnostic games, which are endogenous games that can instantly switch learning content without changes or interruption to game play.
I am a video game programmer and designer, as well as an expert in cognitive science and learning theory, and am currently in pursuit of a job. I will soon complete my PhD and have already completed my Master's degree in Computer Games Technology and have my Bachelor's in Computer Science with a minor in Entertainment Technology.
