I joined the Vienna School of International Studies (Diplomatische Akademie Wien) in 2021 as a postdoctoral fellow. I am currently a faculty member and associated researcher, where I teach Qualitative Methods in International Relations and Brazilian Foreign Policy across several programmes, including the Master of Advanced International Studies (MAIS), the MSc in Environmental Technology & International Affairs (ETIA), and the MSc in Digital International Affairs (DIA).
From 2019 to 2021, I was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at the Sciences Po, within the Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics (CEE). My broader research interests include the interplay between media and political attitudes, foreign policy discourse analysis, and the role of soft power in contemporary international politics with particular interest on the foreign policy of middle and emerging powers.
My teaching experience includes a six-year period as a teaching fellow at the University of Warwick (UK) at the Department of Economics (2014-2017) and at the Department of Politics and International Studies (2017-2019), in addition to a one-year period as a teaching fellow at Sciences Po Paris (2023-2024). I have also designed and delivered courses on Comparative Politics, Media and Politics, Brazilian Foreign Policy, Geopolitics, Global Political Economy, Environmental Politics & Economics, EU institutions and policy-making, and Foreign Policy Analysis in several institutions such as the Catholic University of Lille, Getulio Vargas Foundation, American University of Rome, Skema Business School and others.
