Getting Here & Opening Times

The Bushland Garden is located beside the Tasman Highway, the main route from Hobart to the East Coast. It is about 50 km from Hobart, or about one hour’s drive – just short of Buckland, and about halfway to Swansea.

Look for the large sign beside the highway.

From Hobart, head across the Tasman Bridge, keep right on the Eastern Outlet, pass through Midway Point, turn left at Sorell, and you’ll get there.

The gardens are open from 8 am to 6.30 pm during the daylight savings months (October to March), and from 9 am to 4.30 pm during the winter months (April to September).

The gardens are open every day except Christmas Day.

While we allow pets to visit the gardens they must be on a lead. They are allowed in the display garden area and old quarry only. They are not allowed on the bushland tracks. Please BYO pick up bag and take it with you on departure.
