Download the PDFs. Two formats are available:

• 150 dpi (15 MB, for on-screen reading)

• 300 dpi (101 MB, for printing).

To mimic the layout of the book, in Adobe Reader find the menu item called Page Display and tick Two-Up and Show Cover Page During Two-Up.

That format will show you what the book looks like. However, unless you have a large screen it will be easier to read as Single Pages.

AN EVENING AT JOSEPHINE PLACE

A true story made up by Guy. Not only is Anna a bushwalker and storyteller, she's a musician. Joined by her cousin Stuart Pearce, they won first prize in a section of the Launceston Eisteddfod in 2004. Anna sang and tap-danced Windy City; Stuart backed her with banjo and harmonies. Hear the events leading up to that unbelievable occasion through the vocal and musical antics of relatives and friends. Judge Jenny commented – an "astonishing performance".

Note: Because of a bug in some web browsers, individual tracks may download with ".txt' appended. Remove the ".txt" before trying to play those tracks.

Download the CD either as a zip file (Anna & Stu CD, 40 MB) or as individual tracks.

All recordings 17 April 2004 except:

• Deanne (20 May 2004)

• Windy City, live at the Princess Theatre, Launceston (4 June 2004)

• Stu & Judge Jenny (12 Dec 2005)

Stuart’s ‘astonishing performance’ realised by Guy (with help from Stu in the final chorus).

One Take

Recordings of Anna at the piano, and singing while playing guitar. Recorded 31 Jan 2012.

Anna's liner notes:

I was first introduced to music at age 5 by my older brother, Rich, who gave me lessons on his electric organ. When I was 8 years old I began piano lessons with a qualified teacher and started AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) exams which I completed up to grade 8.

I started singing at about age 7 through ‘song and dance’ at tap-dancing lessons. Although I never had formal singing lessons I loved to sing on stage. I was also involved in school choirs, and later, secondary school musicals.

During my gap year in 2010 I learnt guitar, gaining knowledge through a combination of friends, the internet, and self-teaching.
