A Walk Along The Shore

The story of Peggy Puckett (nee Smedley) and Three Hummock Island (off Tasmania's North-West Coast).

Peggy grew up in Stanley, and worked on Three Hummock Island for six years when Ciss and Bill Nichols leased the island. She married a US serviceman in Melbourne during World War 2, travelled to America as a war bride after the war, and lived in Spartanburg, South Carolina from 1946. She came back to Tasmania twice while living in America, to visit friends and relations.

Peggy died in Spartanburg on the 20th February 2016, aged 93.
