Our paper "Experimental assessment of the safety and potential efficacy of high irradiance photostimulation of brain tissues" has been accepted for publication in Nature Scientific Reports.

Georgios presented his work at the 1st international conference on mathematical neuroscience in Antibes.

  • February, 4th 2015: iCODE-SynchNeuro Workshop on Neural Population Dynamics

The joint iCODE-SynchNeuro Workshop on Neural Population Dynamics (see website), organized by Georgios and Antoine, took place Supélec (Gif sur Yvette) on February, 4th 2015. It aimed at gathering neuroscientists and control theoreticians around the dynamics of neural populations. Its topics covered: modeling, identification of parameters based on experimental data, link between models, mathematical analysis, and feedback control. The list of invited speakers was: Bruno Cessac, Alain Destexhe, David Hansel, Axel Hutt, Dimitris Pinotsis, and Peter Wellstead. 10 posters were also presented. The workshop was a great success: more than 65 people from France and abroad participated. We warmly thank the speakers for their interesting talks !

Georgios presented a poster on SpySort, the Python package for spike sorting he developed with C. Pouzat, at the 2014 meeting of GDR multi-electrodes (Gif sur Yvette, France).

At the occasion of the upcoming French presidency of IFAC, the INS2I of CNRS published a short article on the works conducted in SynchNeuro.

  • July, 2nd 2014: Bernstein Conference 2014

Georgios presented the poster A global stability analysis for delayed neural fields at Bernstein Conference 2014.

  • June, 1st 2014: Ihab Haidar joins the project

Ihab Haidar is joining SynchNeuro as a post-doc. Ihab will work on incremental stability analysis of Lur'e systems with multiple delays, with application to basal ganglia neuronal population models.

  • April 2014: Publication in ERCIM News

SynchNeuro partners have co-signed a short publication in the Special Issue on Cyberphysical systems of ERCIM News to present SynchNeuro's main objectives and strategies. Click here to download the paper.

  • March - April 2014: Georgios' Python course

Georgios Detorakis gave a 12-hour course on Python to members of the SynchNeuro project, as well as members of the L2S. This course took place at Supélec (Gif sur Yvette).

  • March, 31st 2014: Christophe and Georgios release SpySort

Christophe Pouzat and Georgios Detorakis have released SpySort, a Python package for spikes sorting. The method is mostly based on the 2002 paper of Pouzat, Mazor and Laurent.

  • November 2013: Presentation of preliminary results at SFN

Both experimental and theoretical SynchNeuro preliminary results have been presented at the Annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience held at San Diego, USA.

  • October 23th 2013: Kick-off

SynchNeuro was officially launched on October 23th, 2013. The kick-off took place at Créteil Henri Mondor Hospital.
