Graduate Supervisions
I believe research should be both theoretically and policy-relevant. I encourage graduate students to address research gaps from both perspectives. While excellent research is important, it's crucial to disseminate and communicate the results in simple language. This ensures effective use, such as informing public policy. I also prioritize students' familiarity with internationally recognized journals, attendance at conferences, and experience in writing economic reports and policy briefs. This prepares them well for their future training or career.
I'm available to work with master's and Ph.D. students on topics related to international trade, economic integration, economic sanctions, globalization and development, energy and environment, international development, and meta-analysis. If you would like me to be your advisor, please contact me through my email: safesorg@uoguelph.ca or sylva210@yahoo.com
