[RWC Sharks] Meet Results and THANK YOU!

Hi Shark Families!

Kyle and I wanted to thank you all so much for such a wonderful season! We loved spending our summer with you and your swimmers, and are just so proud of how much they have improved over the season! And thank you for spoiling us with love and well-wishes at the bbq, you made us both feel so special!

I'm attaching the results from our championship swim meet--we came in 6th overall! Which is huge when we're the only summer-only swim team in the league!

Wishing everyone a wonderful last few weeks of summer break and a smooth start to the school year! We will see you next summer!

[RWC Sharks] Shortened Practices on FRIDAY 7/18 and Champs info!

Hi Shark Families!!

Because our meet on Saturday is so early, we're shortening practices for our swimmers in the last two groups.

Our second practice (that normally is held from 6:30-7:30) will go from 6:30- 7:15. Our last practice (that is normally held from 7:30-8:45) will go from 7:15-8:00. This will help make sure everyone gets a good nights rest before coming to CSM for our 8:00am warm-ups!!

Info for Saturday!

Our swimmers will be competing against all of the six teams in our league, it will be an exciting, long, and crowded day!! I will send out swimmers events as soon as I get them back from our hosting team! Hopefully I'll have them by tomorrow morning.

The meet will take place at CSM on Saturday July 20th. Below is a link with directions from our pool!

Warm-ups will start at 8:00, the meet is set to start at 9:00. We are hoping to end between 1:00 and 2:00.

What to Bring: Sunscreen!! Water!! Extra towels! It may start off cool because we're in the hills but will likely warm-up as the day gets going! CSM will have a VERY limited snack shack (last year the line was REALLY long!) but you are also welcome to bring your own snacks. There will also be a farmers market going on in the parking lot, lots of delicious fruits and veggies!!

Other Info: This meet will be run a little differently than others, they will be running 18 lanes at a time, 9 will be for even heats, the other 9 will be for odds. There will be signs posted, and our coaches will help swimmers understand what side their events will be on.

Please help us keep everyone together! CSM is huge! The Aquatic area is lovely, and there is a large grassy area right above it that will be a great place to sit while waiting for events! We'll try to stake out a great spot for all families on the grass, look for it when you get there! We'll have coaches ready to help write events on swimmers arms if they need them!!

After the meet, back at our pool we will be having our end of the season family pool party and Potluck/BBQ! Family swim will start at 4:30! An Evite will be in your inbox soon. During the BBQ we will be giving out awards. All swimmers get a medal for participation, and then in each age group we will also be giving out a Most Valuable Swimmer, Most Improved, and our special Shark Award, we'll explain the meaning behind the Shark award on Saturday :)

Hi Shark Families!

I can't believe we're entering the last week of the season, it's flown by!! I have loved spending my summer with you and your swimmers, here's to a wonderful last week!!

Championship Meet Saturday July 20th @ CSM

This is the last chance to sign-up for our championship meet!

Please keep in mind that each team is only allowed to enter a very limited number of relays per age-group (I think we're only allowed one or two!). Kyle and I will do our best to get everyone into their preferred races, but relays are a little trickier this time!

Time

The pool will be open for warm-ups from 3:30-4:20

The meet will begin at 4:30

Food

There will be a taco truck (😁🌮!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) from 4:00-7:00. Feel free to bring your own snacks!!

Seating

There are bleachers on the pool deck, chairs and blankets will only allowed off-deck in the courtyard area right next to the pool

Happy Friday Sharks!! Send all my love to your swimmers, they did a great job at our meet today! It felt hectic with so many people on the pool deck, but nearly everyone made their events on time! And everyone who swam did AWESOME! Kyle and I are so proud of how much progress our team has made this year! Lots and lots of personal bests! YAY!!

There is still time to sign-up for our Tuesday meet!! If you haven't signed your swimmer up yet, please do so before 5:00 PM Saturday, we need to get our entries in to PCCA by Sunday morning!

Tuesday July 16th @ Sequoia High School

Our final regular season meet will be this Tuesday July 16th against PCCA and Burlingame Aquatics (we're gonna know their swimmers pretty well by the end of the season!!). I will send out details about start times as we get closer to the meet! This meet will be held at Sequoia High School!! My favorite pool! And it's close to home! YAY!

Happy Thursday Shark Families!! Sorry in advance for this MASSIVE email! I promise it's all important!!

Warm-ups for our meet this Friday will begin at 3:15, the meet should start at 4:00. We are swimming against Covington and Burlingame, there should be a lot of excitement. Covington has a cash snack shack (it's usually one of the better one!!), but feel free to bring your own snacks!

[RWC Sharks] 4th of July Parade Sign-Ups!!

RWC Sharks Parade Sign Up!

It is an absolutely AMAZING time! If your swimmer would like to join us, please fill out the following form. Swimmers must be at least 10 years old to march, as per RWC parade rules.

Marchers will need to meet our group/coaches at the corner of Alden and Arguello Sts (near the Brewster St overcrossing of the tracks).

Parents will need to drop off and pick up their kiddos and sign them in/out. Wear SHARKS TEAM SHIRT, good tennis shoes (no flip flops), sunscreen, and bring water.

This is a fun event to promote our swim team!

For parent planning - drop off usually by 9:30 AM and pickup by 12 noon. (may change)

We will be at the pool today at all practices and Wednesday to hand out tshirts to donors and any swimmer who did not attend picture day. We will also have our other shark wear and snacks for purchase. Come by our table!

Hello Families!!

I'm so proud of how much everyone is improving this season, your swimmers are working so hard at practice!

This week will look a little different. We have regular practice tonight and tomorrow, but Wednesday is our Fun Meet! We do not have practice Thursday July 4th or Friday July 5th. But we will be walking in the Redwood City 4th of July parade! For details, please see Shark Alert from Redwood City Sharks email account.

We only have two swim meets in our regular season! Below you will find links to sign up to both of our remaining meets.
