Sun Lakes Table Tennis Club Victorious Over Saddlebrook Table Tennis Club

Congratulations to the Sun Lakes Table Tennis Club’s traveling team who competed and won a hard-fought battle against Saddlebrook Sunday, October 28.
Wile E. Coyote, better known as David Novikoff, president of SLTTC, led our team with a flurry of left-handed hammering as he took down one opponent after another. SLTTC treasurer, Alan Behr, aka The Bear, wrong-footed his opponents with his quick one-sided spinny smashes, sending them to the floor in a state of perplexity.
Saddlebrook competitors quickly lost face and turned tail when the Tall Quiet Assassin, Bill Lange, asserted himself through action with few words. Overheard in the gallery following one of his many wins, “Who was that masked man and how did he slip those shots past our best players?” Lastly, David Zapatka, aka the Z-Man, brought his show of disguise and brute force slipping tricky serves past unwitting opponents and powering third-ball kill shots through those that were returned.
Saddlebrook threw all they had at our Sun Lakes contingent but our players held strong winning 13 out of 18 matches.
