Sun Lakes and Ahwatukee Table Tennis Clubs Face Off in East Valley Showdown

Sun Lakes players have their paddles turned to the red side

showing they were the match winners.

The Sun Lakes Table Tennis Club hosted the Ahwatukee Table Tennis Club in an East Valley Showdown Friday, January 8 at the Sun Lakes Country Club.

Playing for Sun Lakes in singles and doubles were David Zapatka, David Novikoff, Alan Behr, Steve Langer, Gerry Vogelsang, Steve Weiss, Steve Chambers, Jim Spolar, Bill Aichele, Rich Nadler, Jack Richey, Doc Dockter, June Wagner and Pete Macksam.

The Sun Lakes contingent was in top form for this match winning by a comfortable margin 19-7. The traveling trophy resides once again with Sun Lakes where it is proudly displayed.
