And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:
These things saith he that is holy, he that is true,
he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth;
and shutteth, and no man openeth;
I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door,
and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word,
and hast not denied my name.
Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan,
which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold,
I will make them to come and worship
before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience,
I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation,
which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God,
and he shall go no more out:
and I will write upon him the name of my God,
and the name of the city of my God, new Jerusalem,
which cometh down out of heaven from my God:
let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
He that hath an ear,
and I will write upon him my new name.
And when he had opened the fifth seal,
I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God,
and for the testimony which they held:
And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long,
O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge
our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
And white robes were given unto every one of them;
and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season,
until their fellowservants also and their brethren,
that should be killed as they {were}, should be fulfilled.
And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo,
there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black
as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
The One who holds the seven stars in His right hand,
the One who walks among the seven golden lampstands, says this:
‘I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance,
and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to
the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not,
and you found them to be false;
and you have perseverance and have
endured for My name’s sake, and have not grown weary.
But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.
Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do
the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will
remove your lampstand out of its place—unless you repent.
Yet this you do have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans,
which I also hate.
and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids
in those days will I pour out my Spirit.
And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth:
blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood,
before the great and terrible day of YHWH cometh.
He who has the seven Spirits of God and the
seven stars, says this: ‘I know your deeds, that you have a name
that you are alive, but you are dead.
Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain,
which were about to die; for I have not found
your deeds completed in the sight of My God.
So remember what you have received and heard;
and keep it, and repent. Therefore if you do not wake up,
I will come like a thief, and you will not
know at what hour I will come to you.
But you have a few people in Sardis who have not
soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.
He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments;
and I will not erase his name from the book of life,
and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’
