organized under the auspices of
IUSS WORKING GROUP WORLD REFERENCE BASE FOR SOIL RESOURCES (WRB)
Globalization and global environmental issues, as well as unification of scientific research and teaching on the global level require harmonization of technical languages, such as the terminology used in soil science. Important part of our technical language is soil description and classification. Various „languages” – national systems are used throughout the World, so common Lingua Franca is needed to understand each other. World Reference Base for Soil Resources (WRB) is one of such to facilitate exchange of information.
“WRB summer” workshop is organized under auspices of IUSS WG WRB by the experts organizing soil classification training courses for nearly 10 Years. The aim of event is to help start using WRB or enhance skills in classification during one day indoor and 3 days intensive field activities. We invite to beautiful UNESCO World Heritage city of Toruń all students and young researches (but senior ones are also welcomed).
We invite to participate not only European students and researches but also from all other regions of the world.
