WDG Shell – Inclusive Out of Box Experience(OOBE), June 2016 – February 2017

• This is the experience a user goes through when he runs Windows for the first time. Built infrastructure to simplify, and speedup deployment time by 10x for the OOBE app. This helped increasing developer productivity and massively improved iteration capabilities for designers.

• Improved core page navigation capabilities in the app. Designed and added back button capabilities to improve user experience. Made significant contributions to make the app resilient to errors to support graceful degradation of user experience.

WDG Shell – Windows Tips, January 2016 – May 2016

• Co-owned Windows Tips - this is a feature of Windows that displays contextual tips throughout the shell. Developed infrastructure to display Windows tips for offers on the taskbar and the Action center complete with telemetry framework to track user engagement and conversions. Designed and implemented fully accessible visual components of the tips as well.

WDG Shell – Retail Demo Experience, April 2014 – December 2015

• Co-owned Retail Demo experience for Windows 10 (desktop/mobile) – this is the experience a customer gets at a retail store and is critical to drive the success of Windows. Was Involved in building new infrastructure from scratch and maintaining quality from live telemetry.
• Owned Windows Hello for Retail Demo which enabled showcasing of RealSense cameras, fingerprint sensors etc. to customers in a secure and user friendly way.
• Co-owned Windows Tips in Retail to guide the user to new Windows 10 feature discovery.

WDG Shell - Cloud Experience, August 2012 – April 2014

• Shared responsibility for maintaining the Sync framework – this is used to sync settings across windows device. Designed and implemented a framework that exposed simplified apis to developers to roam and backup their settings at a fraction of the cost of that in Windows 8 (what took days to do end to end now takes minutes) without having to know all the details.
• Maintained both frontend and backend of Skydrive - Sync Pages on Windows Modern Settings.
• Built tool to visualize sync settings to help developers, testers and PMs to identify sync issues easily.
• Shared ownership for Low Storage Automated Disk cleanup for Windows 8.1 Spring Update.
