Brief description of myself:
I am a dedicated and knowledgeable professional with over 5 years progressive research experience and expertise on the assessment of materials' properties. I have an excellent track record of significant research and scientific achievements in materials' science, coatings' and manufacturing technology. My background includes a demonstrated capability to grasp new ideas and develop creative solutions to problems. Well organized, methodical and self-reliant who can work effectively autonomously or in a group of people.
I am equipped with diverse practical experience and advanced knowledge in the characterization of materials' mechanical properties. I have excelled in demanding research projects and my biggest accomplishment was the correlation of thin coatings' fatigue properties with the coated cutting tools' performance during machining and the prediction of coated tools' lifetime.
I have significant experience in the optimization of manufacturing processes (milling and turning) with the aid of CAD/CAM systems. I have a solid understanding of the machinability for a large variety of steels, aluminum and aerospace alloys. Moreover, i have experience in materials’ characterization devices, such as impact testers, nanoscratch and nanoindentation units.
Major fields of concentration:
▪Thin hard coatings’ production methods and application on cutting tools
▪Materials' science and mechanical properties' characterization
▪Manufacturing engineering and technology
▪Cutting performance of coated tools during material removal processes and its optimization
▪NC-coding of CNC machines from CAD/CAM systems
▪Investigation of the cutting tools’ failure mechanisms during various manufacturing processes
▪Design and process analysis by Finite Elements Method (FEM), Stress-Strain-Strain rate analysis
▪Life-cycle assessment of materials and processes
At the moment I am looking for the next challenge, a professional environment where I could contribute with my skills and knowledge.
