Studio Policy

ATTENDANCE

As regular attendance is essential for good progress, students are expected to attend all weekly scheduled lessons. Please arrive on time for lessons, as time cannot be extended due to late arrival.

Please do provide a notice of absence 24-hours prior to the scheduled lesson. Refunds or credits are not provided in cases of absences, but accommodation will be made for an alternate class time. In the unusual event of illness or family emergency, do notify the instructor prior to the scheduled lesson so that a make-up class can be accommodated.

Classes missed by the instructor due to professional commitments or unforeseen circumstances will be rescheduled at a convenient time for both the student and instructor. Make-up lessons are not provided for absences without prior notice. 

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT

Parents are welcome to drop off and pick up their child for weekly lessons. Please do make arrangements to drop off and pick up your child in a timely manner, as there is often a 5-minute turnover time between each student. Alternatively, parents may have a seat outside the classroom during their child's lesson. Please feel free to contact me at any time outside of your child's lesson to chat or to book an in-person meeting to discuss progress, goals and achievements.

Parental support is essential for students' musical development. Please check your child's notebook regularly and ensure to provide a positive practise environment free from interruptions. To help develop self-discipline and good work ethic, set aside time each day for practice. Younger children or beginners may require further parental supervision.

TUITION FEES

Tuition may be paid by cash or cheque payable to Carol Kong. Post-dated cheques can be made for each calendar year.
