Stow Hill Community Garden: We're your neighbors!

What's special about the Stow Hill Community Garden? It's an independent garden, on land leased from the city. The garden came to be in 2017 when a group of neighbors in the Stow Hill neighborhood decided they wanted to turn a vacant lot into something more. In 2018, locals began investing in raised beds using purchased, found, and donated materials. Today, the garden has five plots in use with plans to expand. Facilities include a water barrel, shared tool box, seed bank, and compost bin. Plots are free to those interested in developing and maintaining them.
